Review by Siddhartha on 26th April 2009

Amma Creations after their successful comeback film "Saroja" have produced this heavy weight "Mariyathai" (Respect) that has Vijayakanth in the lead and Vikraman as the captain of the ship handling the story, screenplay, dialogues and direction. The movie begins on a very classy note where Deva (surya) walks out of the immigration counter at the Chennai International Airport only to find out within minutes that he is a pirated CD smuggler who knows the nuances of sneaking pirated goods through customs.
