Bharatiraaja’s much awaited “Bommalattam” which was in the making for three years has finally hit the screens and for the viewer who has got a little bit of interest left in the movie has got more disappointments than anything at the end of the movie. One wonders how did a director with the caliber he possesses in handling the sentimental rural subject becomes a cropper in choosing such a naive and a stupid subject. Though the director claims that this movie is based on a real-life happening, the viewer fails to understand the logic behind choosing this subject to be made with Nana Patekar in the lead.
